The registration fee includes:

  • A copy of the Symposium Book either in printed format or in digital format (on a USB flash drive),
  • Coffee breaks April 2-4, 2019 ,
  • Lunch April 2-4, 2019,
  • Symposium social event on April 2, 2019,
  • Closing reception on April 4, 2019.

Participants can indicate upon registration whether they prefer to have a copy of the Symposium Book in printed format or in digital format.

Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation of participation before February 15, 2019 the registration fee will be refunded deducting a handling fee of EUR 35,-. In case of cancellation after February 15, 2019 no refunds of any kind will be made.

Letter of Invitation

Those persons needing an official invitation letter in order to obtain a VISA to attend the symposium may contact us specifying the necessary details. The letter of invitation does not financially obligate the symposium organisers in any way.

The organisers do not have the responsibility for any personal injury or loss of property which may occur during the “6th International Slag Valorisation Symposium” or any of the programmed events.

Submissions

The Organising and Scientific Committees of the Symposium cordially invite researchers and other actors to give a presentation or pitch a poster. The session and preference for poster pitch or oral presentation should be indicated upon abstract submission. Selected papers will be considered for publication in a Special Issue in the Journal of Sustainable Metallurgy.

Abstract

Participants can submit an abstract (150-250 words, excluding the title, authors and their affiliation). Standard template is to be used and can be downloaded here. The deadline for abstract submission is September 15, 2018. The authors will be informed by November 15, 2018 of the acceptance of their abstract, and whether it is accepted as poster pitch or oral presentation. Upon the acceptance of your abstract, the authors are requested to register for inclusion in the program.

Paper and poster

Oral and poster presenters should submit a 4-page paper (references included in 4 pages) in A4 format by January 15, 2019 which will be published in the official Symposium Proceedings together with the papers of the plenary speakers. A standard template is to be used, which will be available for download soon.
